This is an intriguing theory,
Though it may seem incredibly.
But it’s an interesting ideology,
Observed unfolding in our society.
Individuals accumulating property,
Driven by the need to keep up with society.
They buy into the treadmill of society,
A deliberate cycle orchestrated commercially.
The treadmill of society,
Has become the norm in our community.
How might we, as a society,
Dismantle this mastery?
Without causing unintended redundancy.
We live in the treadmill of society,
As it relates to everyone’s reality.
To break free, we must find simplicity,
And redefine what brings true prosperity.
Footnote: “The Treadmill of Society” reflects on the pressures and expectations that individuals face within their community, particularly relating to material accumulation and societal norms. In terms of leadership, it suggests that leaders have a role in recognizing and addressing these societal cycles. Effective leadership could involve questioning the status quo and help find ways to break free from these patterns without causing harm or redundancy. Leaders could promote values that prioritize well-being over material success and encourage innovation and creativity in how communities operate. They have the potential to inspire change and guide society towards a more balanced and meaningful existence.
